What is Blendabout?

In a nutshell, BlendAbout is Social Networking – offline. BlendAbout’s Social Dining service matches people with common interests into small groups for meals at restaurants.

BlendAbout schedules group meals for approx. 6 people that share the same interests. Small intimate groups allow users to connect and mingle comfortably.

BlendAbout isn’t a typical social networking service. Users can invite existing friends to BlendAbout to join in social dining adventures. However, our primary goal is to help users build a network of new friends from the people they meet at group meals.

The core BlendAbout experience is meeting REAL people in person and sharing a REAL meal together. We feel that the internet is an incredible tool that allows people to connect in so many ways. However, it seems that people are connecting more often in a virtual environment and less often in-person. We strive to bring back the ancient art of human connection.

The Team

	Kate Spivak, Founder & CEO Kate Spivak is the creative visionary behind the BlendAbout product. Kate is responsible for setting the overall direction & product strategy for BlendAbout. Prior to founding BlendAbout, Kate held marketing leadership roles at companies that include Quigo, HP and PlayPhone, where she spear-headed marketing efforts, generating over 1MM new subscribers in less than a year. In her free time, Kate enjoys cooking, dining out, traveling, photography, and studying history.
	Jon Winters, Co-founder & COO Jon Winters is the operational vanguard for BlendAbout with over 20 years leadership and execution experience in Internet/Mobile technologies; Jon is leading BlendAbout’s business operations. Prior to BlendAbout, Jon held executive roles scaling operations and services as VP of Operations at PlayPhone, Inc., VP of Services at Paciolan/TicketMaster, and COO of Digital Bridge. Jon enjoys traveling, dining out, and hiking, as well as participating in various community activities and volunteer organizations.
	Ken Falk, Senior Director Of Engineering Ken Falk is the technology powerhouse behind BlendAbout. He leads all development efforts striving to simultanesouly make the code engine that drives BlendAbout clean, powerful, and effective amd the user experience simple, intuitive, and fun. He has over 12 years of experience building custom applications for a wide range of financial, social, educational, and marketing businesses.
